Farlow 3" Grenaby ReelFor sale here is a classic reel from Farlow's of London a 3 inch Grenaby reel with lots of original leading remaining. Fixed check, nice and tight. No wobble or other issues. Holdfast logo and stamped serial number on foot which I'm pretty sure means it was made in Croydon and not by another reel maker. "5' stamps match throughout reel. No line grooves whatsoever pretty rare. Correct smooth brass foot attached with two screws. Handle spins freely.
Perfect for a 3 or 4 weight line
Plastic still covers the grip
The rod also has some soiling on the grip
A fine piece for the fly collector and the top also makes a great display item for your classic tackle items
There are 16 patterns in all
The rod is in near mint+ condition having just been lawn cast
Cigar grip and the rod is wrapped in brown
