Peerless 77 Fly ReelA nice Peerless model 77 raised pillar trout reel. 3" in diameter and set up for RHW. Half handle design. This reel is unused and comes in the original soft leather zippered case.
This appears to be an early version of Joe' well-regarded deluxe line of reels
8 1/2 feet for a 7 weight line
The creme de la creme of the Pflueger reel lineup was and remains the Bulldog-trademarked "Golden West"
The grip has been varnished giving it a darker tone
All of the other screws remain in excellent condition
Comes in a plastic bag in the original tan leather drawstring bag
All wraps and guides are in great condition
and it has a smokey agate line guide which has no imperfections
The rod features a translucent glowstick-like unsanded fiberglass blank with olive-green wraps
The rod appears to be in un-fished condition
It happened near the guide feet much of the time
A terrific rod for those especially tight and brushy streams
