Some slight foxing to no real detriment. 33 by 24 cms plate. 42. 5 by 33 cms overall framed Boitard was a draughtsman and engraver; son of Franois Boitard (1667 1719), born in France; based in London
He trained under the portraitist Thomas Hudson in London and later studied with the religious painter Marco Benefial in Rome
