JW Young 3 1/2" Fly ReelFor sale here is a nice fishing reel made by JW Young for retailer Farlow & Co. London. Includes the hardfast logo. It is a Pattern 10B reel 3 1 2". Excellent condition mechanically. No wobble or end play. Crazed erinoid handle spins freely. Reel foot appears to be full length but may be a replacement due to the some filing of the bridge pillar (shown in photos). The line weighting was scratched into the surface of the winding plate as well as always,
The classic cigar grip measures 6" in length with on the lightest of handling marks on the cork
the stripping pillar does have a substantial groove in it (only 1/4 of the pillar remains in that location
although working smoothly and precisely within few meters too

The fighting butt appears to have been used very little and remains in excellent condition
The reel weighs 15 1/2 oz
A&F delivered some one-tip rods in the late 60's according to one source
