James Reams Fly Rod 8'3" 2/2 #5A nice Jim Reams bamboo fly rod, 8'3", 2 piece, 2 tips, built for a #5 line. Hollow built construction. Serial number "151 7 05HB" lettered on the shaft, and one flat right "James L Reams, Maker". The rod weighs 3. 80 oz and is on the faster side of medium fast with a pleasing, authoritative action. Excellent plus, lightly used condition. Lightly tempered cane with an almost pumpkin tone color, and the nodes are done in a two opposed pattern.

The rod features a stunning spalted oak reel seat spacer with blued cap and ring
